Stave & Hoop, a new Missoula speakeasy was built to pay homage to the amazing history of the building at 223 N. Higgins. Built in 1896 by the Garden City Bottling & Liquor Co. the basement was used mainly as barrel storage.  The elements that make up a traditional barrel are the Stave (the vertical running wood slats) and the Hoops (the metal rings holding the staves together).  Out of this history bloomed a modern day, speakeasy style bar serving incredible craft cocktails, beer, wine and Montana style comfort food.
